Two field trips are planned along the NE Rift and the South Rift of Mt. Etna, where two drone surveys will also be conducted. Fieldwork will take place at altitudes between 2000 and 3000 meters a.s.l. Even if it is not winter time, the climate is highly variable and can range from warm conditions to extremely cold, windy, and rainy weather.
It is strictly recommended to wear proper boots for climbing in harsh terrain and to have appropriate clothing, including:
- Mountain boots
- Onion-layered clothing
- Down jacket
- Windproof jacket
- Hat
- Gloves
- Sunglasses
- Walking sticks (recommended)
- Helmet
